My teenage son has become conscious of his skinny looks and he wants to add some muscles to his body. While we were shopping for an affordable exercise machine that he would use for this training, he saw the Kettler Favorit Rower. He checked it out and he immediately liked the no impact feeling of a rowing workout. We thus purchased the reasonably-priced and modest-looking machine which nonetheless packs a lot of features.
The fluid straightening and bending motions of rowing build the arms, chest and back muscles while flexing and straightening of the feet exercise the legs and butt muscles. With other benefits such as cardio workout that strengthens the heart and lungs and excellent calorie burning capability, the Kettler Favorit Rower indeed fits perfectly my son’s needs.
One may reasonably expect that with its low price, Kettler scrimped on features that are standard in high-end equipment of its type. Not true at all. While the computer embedded into the equipment is not top-of-the-line, it nonetheless provides all the necessary workout data my son needs: time, strokes, stroke frequency, total distance (kilometers), room temperature, energy consumption, pulse and recovery pulse. Also, the machine can be programmed for workouts based on time, strokes, energy consumption and stroke frequency settings and to give an audible signal when the goal is reached. With its user-friendly interface and controls, even newbies would not have difficulties using the Kettler Favorit Rower, which can accommodate users weighing up to 285 lbs.
While the resistance system is so unlike those found in fancy but expensive equipment, the resistance force provided by the two hydraulic cylinders are just great for one who is just starting out. The seat mounted on rollers, flexible foot plates with straps and folding oar levers are all comfortable to the user. The Kettler Favorit Rower also has anti-slip floor protectors to ensure stability and can be adjusted from a flat position to a 45 degree position for more difficult and challenging training. Made of sturdy materials, the gadget is 49″ long, 31″ wide and 11″ high – compact enough to be used even in limited spaces.
Indeed, the Kettler Favorit Rower is just the perfect machine for those who love rowing but can’t afford the steep prices of conventional rowers.
